AN OUTDOOR PARADISE

Located on the west side of Pikes Peak in Central Colorado, the Rocky Mountain Wellness Retreat provides guests with a variety of world class outdoor recreational activities within a quick drive from the cabin. Guests will be able to choose their own adventures, whether they want to hike, kayak, stand up paddleboard at Skaguay State Park, fly fish on a nearby stream, or raft the mighty Arkansas River in the summer. The Outdoor Paradise package is geared towards those who love the outdoors, and want to bask in it throughout their time at the retreat.

There are a series of hiking trails throughout the property, with ample hiking and picnicking opportunities at nearby Skaguay State Wildlife Area.
Sitting at 9,000’ elevation, Skaguay Reservoir provides the iconic picturesque backdrop for those looking to SUP or Kayak on a beautiful alpine lake.
Mt. Princeton Hot Springs is located about 75 minutes from the cabin and provides guests with the ultimate relaxation experience at one of Colorado’s most iconic Hot Springs Resorts..
Guests can experience water water rafting adventures in Cańon City on the mighty Arkansas River, about an hour from the cabin.
An anglers paradise! Some of Colorado’s top fly fishing destinations are located within a quick drive from the retreat. Skaguay Reservoir & West Beaver Creek are a quick drive from the cabin, and World Famous Deckers is about an hour north.
From January-March, guests of the cabin can experience ice fishing at nearby Skaguay Reservoir.

SKAGUAY RESERVOIR & WILDERNESS AREA

Located just 25 minutes from the retreat, Skaguay Reservoir & State Park provide the picturesque alpine backdrop the Colorado Rockies are known for. The park provides opportunities for hiking, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding (SUP), fishing/fly fishing, and more.The reservoir is also a popular ice fishing destination in the winter time.

HOT SPRINGS - A SOAK EXPERIENCE

Guests have the opportunity to schedule sessions to soak at Mt. Princeton Hot Springs, one of Colorado’s most iconic hot springs. Located about 75 minutes from the retreat, Mt Princeton sits at the base of the tallest peaks in the country, and features various pools and river access to soak in. MT PRINCETON RAFT THE MIGHTY ARKANSAS RIVER!

Guests of the retreat have the opportunity to experience the ultimate Colorado adventure, white water rafting! The mighty Arkansas River originates at the best of Colorado’s tallest peak, Mt Elbert, and flows eastward through mountains, hills, meadows and canyons. For those seeking a rafting adventures, the experience takes place outside Cañon City (about a hour from the cabin) with half-day and full-day floats available. May-September only.

COLORADO WOLF & WILDLIFE CENTER

Is The Wolf your inner spirit animal? If so, you may enjoy an excursion to the Colorado Wolf & Wildlife Center during your stay at the retreat. You will see wolves, coyotes, fox and learn about the history, biology, current issues they face today and so much more. Full Moon tours are also available. Only 15 minutes from the retreat! RITA THE ROCKPILER - A THOMAS DAMBO CREATION

 If Wolf’s aren’t your spirit animal, maybe trolls are!  World renowned Danish artist, Thoman Dambo, was commissioned by a local organization, Cripple Creek’s local Gold Camp District Impact Group, to commission World Famous Thomas Dambo to construct a troll overlooking the towns of Cripple Creek and Victor.  Surrounded by hiking trails and lookout points, Rita the Rockpiler is a must visit for the troll lovers of the world! VEHICLE ACCESS

All guests of the retreat have access to our 2024 Bronco Sport. Explore mountain roads, travel to nearby Skaguay State Park, visit Thomas Dambo’s Rita the Rockpiler Troll, or the famous Molly Brown Gold Mine.
Creative Expression

Our Creative Expression package allows guests to spend time in our creative workshop, making art with their hands. Guests will have the option to paint, make jewelry, craft & create mixed media.

Outdoor recreation is great for the soul, and at Rocky Mountain Wellness Retreat, we offer a variety of activities including hiking, kayaking, SUP’ing, disc golf, fly fishing, and more!
