ABOUT THE RETREAT

WHERE WELLBEING THRIVES
Introducing Rocky Mountain Wellness Retreat, a fresh destination wellness retreat catering to those seeking support from professional mental health clinicians in a serene mountain setting. Our wellness ethos is the journey of finding purpose, change, growth, and exploration – connecting with nature’s beauty, forging new experiences, or delving deeper into self-awareness. We strive to facilitate truly transformative wellness opportunities for the body, mind, and spirit.
Led by Dr. Clinton C. Pickett, the RMWR offers comprehensive mental health and overall wellbeing care for individuals. We strive to understand the individuality of each client, and prioritize active listening and thorough assessment of their circumstances, family dynamics, and other relevant factors impacting their life.
Together, we work collaboratively to set attainable and practical goals tailored to one’s needs and aspirations. Our mission is to support you in navigating life’s challenges starting your journey to wellbeing within a safe and peaceful space.
THERAPEUTIC APPROACH
Short-term, goal-oriented therapy.
Humanistic therapy based on the idea that you are the expert of your own life. You have the skills to obtain your goals.
Brief therapy has been shown to work in as little as one 45-minute session.
THERAPY SESSIONS:
- First Session (60 minutes): Pre-arrival complete two personality profiles before you arrive.
- Second Session (90 minutes): Intake; understanding your unique personality; identifying areas of challenge; setting goals.
- Third Session (60 minutes): getting to know your ideal self; reframing your opinions and thoughts about yourself and your experiences; identifying ways to achieve goals; modeling and practicing new ways of being.
- Fourth Session (60 minutes): modeling and practicing; re-visiting goals; continue identifying new ways to achieve goals.
- Fifth Session – (60 minutes): post retreat progress check in 6-8 weeks after visit.
Therapy approach is also to separate yourself from your problem ( externalize your challenges instead of internalize them).
Change the way you think about yourself and your experiences.
Instill a sense of purpose by re-writing your story.
